PostSubject: Prestige Classes   Fri Jul 20, 2012 5:09 pm

Prestige classes are highly specialised classes. If a base class covers the general role of the person, and an advanced class covers the more in-depth and particular facets of those roles, then prestige classes represent singular expressions of that person's abilities. Whether in leadership, combat, stealth, healing, or technical marvels, a prestige character is at the top of their field.

Mental ability-based Prestige Classes

Explosives Expert
Specialists with nerves of steel, trained for the handling of high-explosives. Educated in the engineering of grenades, bombs, and launchers, combined with a training for using heavy armour to resist accidental or nearby blasts. Choose this prestige class if you wish to lay explosives as well as disarm them with expert precision.
Spoiler:

Mastercrafter
The Mastercrafter is a genius when it comes to personally building and fixing items and tools. They think mechanically, in the mode of a great engineer. They are true artisans in whatever craft they choose to pick up, and can repair almost anything. Select this prestige class if you want your character to be a technological expert and a virtuoso with a tool kit.
Spoiler:

Field Surgeon
A field surgeon is an expert medical professional, working his or her art with surgical tools and equipment to heal grievously wounded soldiers. This prestige class is best reached through the full Medic base class and the Field Medic advanced class. Choose this prestige class if you wish to fully dedicate your career and personage to healing people in dangerous situations.
Spoiler:

Commander
A commander is not merely born, he or she is made. Forged in the fire of battle, with the best training and schooling the military has to offer, the Commander is skilled at leading large groups of people to victory in a fight. Whether that is in space, on land, or in the air. The best way to this prestige class is through the Charismatic hero class and some advanced classes pertaining to leadership. Choose this prestige class if you wish to be a powerful and highly professional leader.
Spoiler:

Templar
The Templar is a fanatical warrior for their chosen allegiance or alignment. He or she is sworn to fight and die by their creed and present righteous judgement upon those who oppose them. Using their force of personality, they strike down their foes. Choose this prestige class if you wish to be the ultimate paragon of fanaticism.

Physical ability-based Prestige Classes

Martial Arts Master
Martial Arts Masters are elite close-combat specialists. Men and women schooled for the art of self-defence and attack as part and parcel of their extensive soldier combat training. Upon mastering a specific fighting style, they find themselves enjoying the adeptness with which they wield their own body or specific close-ranged weapons. So, they master the arts of close-combat. Choose this prestige class if you wish to become a paragon of martial arts training and combat.
Spoiler:

Shocktrooper
A Shocktrooper is a soldier trained entirely for combat. Adept in his or her own path or style of fighting, the Shocktrooper is a consummate warrior. Though usually soldiers, they are sometimes mercenaries, special law enforcement officers, security professionals, or criminals that expect heavy combat. Choose this prestige class if you wish to be a paragon of direct fighting.
Spoiler:

Ghost
Ghosts are a chosen few. They are specialists who train acutely for silence, remaining undetected, and striking hard from the shadows. Assassins, thieves, stealth operatives, and vandals--they come from many walks of life. Choose this prestige class if you wish to become a silent warrior above all comparison.
Spoiler:

Berserker
A berserker is constantly seeking out more conflict to feed his or her craving for battle. Whether trained for it, or just naturally inclined to conflict, all berserkers are united by this common trait: they seek confrontation in every aspect of their lives. This gets some into trouble with the law, though some channel this into enforcing it. Choose this prestige class if you wish to chase battle and crush your enemies.
